Celebrate

Hello there! I can't believe January is almost over. Can you? I feel like it was only yesterday that we were wishing each other happy New Year. Sometimes I am wondering if days really have 24 hours. Mine sure seem much shorter. Several of my friends celebrate their birthdays in February so today I am going to show you a birthday card I made.

It's a CAS card. I love this WRS image so I wanted it to be the center of attention of my card.

I did the colouring with Promarkers and pencils. The butterflies were cut from a beautiful butterfly ribbon from Crafty ribbons. In the center of each butterfly I placed a pearl. In the upper left corner I glued some gems. Sentiment is a G Studio stamp.

I would like to enter my card to the following challenges:
Allsorts: Let's celebrate
Winter Wonderland: Spring fever - sunshing, flowers, romance
Word art Wednesday: Anything goes
Creative inspirations: Cute critters
Djkardkreations: NBUS #10 (I've had the "celebrate" stamp for a long time, but haven't used it til now)

Following the sketch

Hello everybody! How are you doing? It's freezing outside so I am enjoying my time inside and I only go out if I absolutely must.

A new challenge started at The Sketchy Challenges today and it's a sketch. I received some new crafty goodies for Christmas and I couldn't wait to play with them. One of them is this adorable snowman stamp that I used on today's card.

I hope you are not tired of seeing winter/Christmas cards yet. I've decided that I will be mainly (but not only) making those this year. My crafting time is getting very limited, so I want to use it wisely. And since I love sending out Christmas cards, I want to have a big pile of them ready when December comes.

I used papers from DCWV and I embellished the card with some cheesecloth and some crystals.

This cute little snowman is a Stamping Bella stamp. How cute is it?! I love it! It brings a smile to my face each time I look at it. :) I did the colouring with Promarkers and pencils.

I hope you will come play with us. Have a wonderful day! xx

Shabby chic birthday

Hey, hey! Two cards in a row, Not something that happens often on my blog. lol But I had some free time and decided to use it for another blog post. Doesn't happen too often I have some extra free time on my fands these days so I am trying to make the best with it when "it comes around". And to be honest, I couldn't wait to share this card with you. I was so pleased with how it turned out - even though it's not my usual "cute style". I hope you will like it!

It was really fun to make a card without a coloured image for a change. But also challenging, as I had to fill that empty space some other way. So I used a lot of different die cuts from Memory box, Sizzix, Cheery Lynn ... and some gorgeous frowers from I am roses. I made the butterflies myself using the mod podge molds and mod melts. I finished the card with some lace, a metal key charm, crystal and tiny pearls. Sentiment is a stamp from Whimsy stamps. It's hard to see in the picture, but the white frame around the sentiment was first painted with gesso and then covered with crackle accents. Papers are from Maja Design.

I would like to enter my card to the follwong challeges:
Scrappy Land: Anything goes using brands of dies SL sells (I used Sizzix, Cheery Lynn, Memory Box)

Little birdie with a bauble

Heya! I hope you are not tired of seeing Christmas cards yet. I was thinking and I am mostly (but not only!) planning to make Christmas cards and 3D paper projects this year. I have quite a few birthday and everyday cards on stock, so I can take a "break" from those, however I am always in need of (more) Christmas ones. So I thought to myself "Why not make more of those through the year?".

Here's one Christmas card I made in traditional colours - red and green. Shocking, I know. lol I like this combination, but for some reason I don't use it very often. Hmmmm ... I wonder why not. Anyways, here's the card.

I used some different design papers from my stash. The image is from WOJ and I coloured it with Promarkers and pencils.

On the snowflake I added some diamond Stickles.

To decorate the card I used some tiny pearls, pom pom trim and doily.

So much for today. Have a great day! xx

Sleepy Christmas

Heya! I'm back with another Christmas card. I did a Christmas card swap with one lady and I knew she liked House Mouse images, so I decided to make a card with one of those cuties. She has already received the card, so it's safe for me to post it here. :)

I wanted the image to stand out, so I "framed" it with crystals. Besides those I only used some pearls and sequins to decorate the card. Papers all came from my stash,

I coloured the image with distress inks and pencils.

So much for today. Have a great day! xx

I'd like to enter my card to the following challenges:

Dream Valley: Christmas
Hiding in my craft room: Freestyle

Playing in the snow

Hey hey! Happy New Year! :D How are you doing? Did you have a nice time celebrating New Year? We were staying at home, enjoying a quiet time together. I have to admit I didn't make it til midnight - I went to bed at 11 pm. I was just soooo tired! *sigh* Oh well, there's always another year. ;)

I still haven't showed you all the Christmas cards I sent out last year, so expect to see them in the following days; first one coming right up.

I'm sorry for the bad quality of the photo. The card was made in the late afternoon and had to go in the mail in the morning the next day, so it was dark when I took photo of it.

Again I used this adorable image by Tiddly Inks. Papers and embellishments came from my stash. I was going through my things the other day and I noticed I have so many half used (or even brand new!) stuff that I really should use those first before I buy any more. Dots on the snowflakes were made with liquid pearls.

I coloured the imafe with pencils and Promarkers. On the white parts of the dress and hat I used diamond Stickles.

So much from me today.
Have a wonderful day! xx
